What is qrs file in QTP

qrs stands for Quicktest recovery scenario file in QTP. In QTP, we can handle exceptions in test execution using recovery scenario manager. When you create a recovery scenario in QTP you must save it in .qrs file.

.qrs file may contain any number of scenarios defined in it.

Example -
abc.qrs may contain scenarios for

• handling pop up1
• handling pop up2
• application crash

Now we have 3 scenario in abc.qrs file. You can activate any or all of these scenario for particular test in QTP.
Just go to test settings and select recovery tab select the recovery scenario to be added to test in QTP.
